Our regular family Sunday night became (yet again) a clan dine-out and who would not want a happy and bonding-filled gathering like that, right? This time, we went to our go-to overlooking area which is the nearest and a neighboring city of our hometown Marikina, Antipolo city.
I never thought that I would have the chance to walk at the Oscar's but it seems this is it! Haha!

dining with a view |
Oscar's, the Filipino food place inside the Eugenio Lopez Center, can definitely flex this unique and scenic overlooking view of its nearby cities creating a stunning horizon, especially at night! We were all awed and amazed by how beautiful it was in person and is a must-see even for those who will be coming far because the visit will be worth it.
We called and reserved a space before going since they recommend it and they actually respond well and clearly communicated the needed information to us. Initially, our 14 pax clan was assigned to dine inside the establishment but was transferred on the spot upon arriving to their alfresco area where we originally wanted and where we were all happy to enjoy the overlooking ambiance.

With this kind of view, I will never get tired of saying & writing that I would not mind staring blankly at this horizon even for a long period of time (I said this many times in some past articles already. Haha!).
Anyway, while waiting for our orders, I roamed and checked their other areas and they are as follows:
reception lounge |
outdoor space |
outdoor events place |

They have so much room for everyone and if you like to spend either a quiet time or a romantic date night, their place is very much recommendable. They also have an overlooking swimming pool for staying guests and even have a mini theater inside.
We were so preoccupied with the view that our orders came like there is no waiting time between ordering and then serving it. Well, we ordered a bunch, and here are some of them:
caesar salad |
chicken chops |
pork tocino silog |
lechon kawali kare kare toppings |
I like their Katsudon as its flavor is really rich plus their serving size is quite big for a single normal person. The rice bowl is quite deep so make sure to allocate accordingly to every bite you make as the rice serving will surely satisfy you or even more than that.
One of the improvements the group mentioned was that some of the meats served were not that soft so I hope they can develop it consistently. It was evident on the lechon kawali with kare kare toppings (photo above) that was eaten by the adults.

The rest of the food was great as prices were reasonable with all this experience on this beautiful site. I forgot to mention to the group that some of the good food reviews I found about them online were the pancit sisig, sisig salted egg spring rolls, sinigang sa pakwan, and the crispy pata humba. Aside from these being something different, I think trying them out would be something to remember so might as well try.
The group took time exploring their spacious open areas after eating and taking photos is of course, of the essence. Here are some of the great pictures taken here:

I am looking forward to trying some of their other appetizers there like the sisig nachos with cheese sauce & the fish and chips next time, or maybe even that Kansas burger. Lol. Well, hopefully, we can experience sunset on our next but one thing is for sure, that I will enjoy it again and appreciate more the relaxing vibe of the whole place. I am definitely excited to come back.
