Cafe Lidia Marikina | What we usually order

Marikina has recently been the home of new sprawling food places that are making a mark not only in the city but in the food industry as well. Though this has been a fact, only a few make it to stay in business, especially after the pandemic. Well, this one has been here before and it looks to stay for quite a while.

You can find this super appetizing meal at Cafe Lidia, in Calumpang, Marikina. They started as a home business which explains how difficult it can be to reach them (location-wise) but now has grown into an established food place where its neighboring lots became its parking area.

I remember visiting them for the first time years ago when parking, capacity, and fast service problems were still present, but they overcame it all. Well, look who is back eating here, huh?! Hehe..

Their place gets bigger every time I go back (years apart) and new aesthetics are always present. I remember them having this little water fountain spot back then but now they have this big waterfall working too! Happy to see all these nature aspects inside the establishment, actually. Good job! Cafe Lidia. I will be expecting a forest ambiance in the years to come! Lol.

Initially, you may find their dining area not that busy but you might want to look again and make sure because they have a lot of interconnected spacious rooms inside where a lot of tables can be preferred.

We went there on a Sunday lunchtime so I was expecting the place to be jam-packed. Though the front dining areas were not, I found the other rooms were while taking these pictures and videos you are seeing.

As our orders came, I had little time to appreciate how well their system is working and their staff is performing. Everything is going smoothly from the welcoming up to the fast order service. Well, let's now go to the main event which is all about their food. We ordered the following: Boneless Chicken, Tuna Salpicao, and Roast Beef.

Tuna salpicao was mom's, roast beef was brother's, and boneless chicken for me and dad. This is what we usually order even on take homes. Not only that the serving sizes are big, but the tastes are also commendable. Everything is very flavorful and they really used all the ingredients fully or maybe even more in each of their serving.

My favorite part of eating my boneless chicken meal is that I get to finish it literally without any leftovers on the plate. It makes me think MORE that it was all worth it and satisfying aside from it being that delicious already plus its generous serving. The chicken breading combined with their gravy managed to create their own signature taste which is something to recognize so Cafe Lidia gains another point from me! XD

They also are equipped with different dessert stations like this one and it was a constant temptation for us since we were seated directly in front of them. Haha! We were not tempted to buy one that time but what we had was their thin crust house special pizza which we did take home (one of our usuals too). The thinness of their pizza is just right where I still enjoy its great taste even with all the vegetables around, especially their fresh tomato toppings. And as per mom, she prefers their pizza because she thinks it is not that oily. Well, hopefully, it's really not.

They are still manned with friendly and welcoming staff which I think is a big factor in their current success. I hope they can maintain it because we had good service until the last minute we were here. I am really looking forward to trying other things on their menu though. Eyes are set on their buffalo wings!
