At last! I got the chance to cover this area since it has been a while now from the last time I have been here. This is by far the biggest eat-all-you-can establishment I have seen so far which is also connected to Four Seasons buffet & hotpot at Araneta Center, Cubao in Quezon City that I wrote about not that long ago. If I am not mistaken, they are under in one umbrella (company) so you'll actually notice the similarities when you get to visit both establishments.
Caution: You might feel hungry while browsing down the post especially if you watch the video below. Dripping of saliva might happen haha! Again, I warned you. ;)
Vikings SM Marikina |
This humongous buffet establishment is inside SM City Marikina, 2nd floor of a city mall. The funny thing is that the last time we visited Four Seasons was because it was my older brother's birthday.. and now, here at Vikings, it is my father's. It seems their birthday promo is already a trademark for many.. well, their offer is really great of a deal when you think of it.
Luxury buffet. A big word to fill! But to be honest, I think they stood up well for that branding. I actually roamed the whole selection twice and even thrice before getting a plate because I was confused about what to get lol! Yes, it is that vast. As usual, the meat area is always the best-seller.
Meat section |
There is always a line here so make sure to be early if you are planning to get some.
If you are a pasta person, don't worry, they got you covered! You can actually even create your own pasta here since the sauces are separated properly. I wonder if they also did it so the blame can be transferred to the one who is mixing it.. Hmmm.. Haha! I think we are over thinking it. Let's just continue.
Do it yourself pasta |
Another section that most people look forward to when going here is this sushi bar. Though I am not a fan of this food line but I can feel their excitement while drawing near to this area. Aside from having a separate area from all the other food, the bar is also well decorated which makes it more appealing to the guests. Those lanterns are really nice which can be seen on the video below.
Sushi bar |
My personal favorite and will always will be (which I also mentioned at the Four Seasons post) is this beverage area haha!
Beverage area |
Not all buffet have unlimited drinks so having this feature is a big plus for me especially to the people who do not eat a lot but might drink a lot. So hurray for this! Haha! They got some fresh juice drinks, the ice-blended (shake) versions, the soft-drinks machine, to coffee & tea and more.. Just don't forget to drink water as well after all of those hehe.
Oh! And by the way, since fresh fruit drinks are available, of course, you can eat the fresh fruit themselves also haha! I nearly forgot to mention them.
Their vast selection of food items also include appetizers such as dimsums, a salad bar, and trays of bread.. Man, I remember the chewy chocolate chip cookies that were once available then that was so delicious. Haha! They serve differently every season I guess? (maybe everyday for some) Well, probably it goes only with the sides.
If you haven't seen your favorite yet, I bet this is the one you are waiting for! Desserts! Haha! Indulge yourself with these selection as it covers a big part of their floor area. I think 3 whole food counters are filled with them.
Now for the main part of the post: How much is it really to dine in a place like this? Read on.
Here is the video of our visit. See how big the place is which I took a continuous shot from the entrance.

It looks like a great place with a good selection of food. For me, sushi is always an exciting choice, so I would definitely start with a sushi bar. It's great that they also have fresh fruit drinks is a great solution if you can't find anything you want to eat, because probably everyone likes fresh juices.
