1st Google Adsense payout by blogging | How much was it

I am so happy while writing this article as I think I am doing a kind of breakthrough in life here. Haha! There are a lot of things to appreciate right now and I'll write them down as an opener for this blog post:

Blogging money
1st ever money from blogging

1. Ticking off one in my personal bucket list which is to "Receive an actual check from Google for this blog".. Well, in this case, there will be no actual check but the theory there is to get paid for this.
2. I started this blog only as a hobby so writing articles about anything in here was with a genuine intent to just either share it randomly or help a friend promote their products/services. I truly feel fulfilled somewhat in doing so as written in my about the blog page here.
3. I actually enjoy doing this and at the same time still get paid which is a big blessing for me.
4. I usually invest in things that I think will be great for the future and I think this blog will play a big role in those times for me.
5. One of the ultimate success stories about being a passionate blogger is that you connect to your audiences or readers and they appreciate your posts. For me, You can even take the appreciations off - the fact that you read my posts is already a privilege for me.
6. In some manner, earnings here contributes directly to the economy of the country, especially on the international brands that place ads on the platform.

And upon sharing you with all of these, let's get to the main topic which is the process of the Google Adsense payout. (By the way, this is a continuation post after my blog has been approved by Google Adsense)

So after getting my Google Adsense approved and waited for my account's PIN to be delivered, alas it came! I was so eager to receive it that I visited our postal mail city office thrice before I got it. Once on the 4th week, the second after a month, and third a week after a month of the date Google sent the mail. Good thing I initiated to visit because the mail office said to me that there was currently no delivery boy assigned to our area. The reason? Their office is quite new daw. Hmm.. Moving on.

And so now that I have exceeded the minimum threshold amount of $100, I am going to withdraw the money for the first time. I am going to be transparent here and say boldly the amount. This is to inform you better and not to brag or be belittled.

My account was approved on February 1 and started showing ads the following day after that. However, I read the email late and so I started making time on campaigning the site again mid of February already. And after finishing the performance in March as well, I garnered a total of $201.78 - not bad to start the program.

Monthly breakdown:

February balance: $46.58
March balance: $155.2
(Paid blog post): ++

Though I partly campaigned already.. But I was more focused on fixing and jump-starting the groove of blogging again. Besides, I was busy building my other social media accounts too to help me later on in increasing my reach. But I do believe that the potential of this platform can exponentially even grow bigger once used properly. You can do more things to earn like having private advertisement banners and paid posts which I surprisingly did have, thank you Lord..

The schedule:

Your threshold amount is accumulating monthly and will only be issued between the 21st - 26th of the following month (if you reach the minimum threshold amount like in my case again is $100). You have the option to let it roll to the next coming months by not touching it since everything will be updated automatically. If you do not meet the minimum requirement though it will just accumulate until you reach it and will issue you the money on your preferred payment method.

So initially, I was expecting to prefer the bank/wire transfer for the most convenient way of receiving the funds I earned but upon knowing that value of the fee they were cutting.. I was forced to switch to the Western Union payment method.

1st blogging payout: Western Union
1st blogging payout thru Western Union

The only fee I paid in here was the documentary stamp tax, which costs $0.61 leaving me with the whole $201.17 to myself after just filling-up a single form. The form given by the counter can be completed by referring to the link that appeared on your Adsense account so taking a picture of it (printing is optional) and bringing one official ID will suffice. There were a number of people inside the establishment so it took some time to get my turn, it was Monday so I guess it was normal. But when I got mine, the processes were fast. With their conversion rate of P50.55 / $1, I got my P10,169.14 today.

This amount may be a small amount compared to the working group OR maybe big for others, especially the ones who are just starting in the industry.. But for me, the more important point right now is that the process is already established, tested and secured. I am genuinely happy with what it is right now and I am looking forward to that future this may bring.

1st snack using blogging money
1st snack from blogging money lol

This will be a rare post talking about my own finances, which is a very personal matter.. Just to drive myself and maybe inspire others.. Currently after working non-stop for about 2 months already spending many sleepless nights developing and learning more about the craft.. I am hitting around $10 - $20 per day already. Not to mention the current all-time high on a single day record of earning $73 which happened yesterday - Easter Sunday here. Man, I cannot believe earning that much in a day really. What a blessing! And with this, I bring back all the glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ as He is our source of everything. And as I secure my tithes just like having work from 9 to 5, I just cannot imagine the other possibilities of achieving the other targets I have which one of them is monetizing my YouTube account. How exciting really. Yes, I genuinely love creating content by writing articles and rendering videos but earning from them too just makes it a perfect combination to risk for.

And that is it! I hope I shared some light regarding this topic. Again, for some, it can be a small amount to work on but it still depends on how you'll manage to grow it. As I am on the adventure of hitting the YouTube partnership program too.. Well, let's talk about it when I am in the program already, I'll make a separate post for it to avoid confusion but I will make sure to update you guys about it the soonest. Until that time comes, enjoy the rest of the day. God bless.
